A look at my life - literally




My sister just got in town. So yesterday I was trying to get done all the things that I don't have time to do. So I attempted my first light exercise on the elliptical. So I was still in my workout clothes when I realized my hair needed help, so I decided to put in some highlights before I showered. Then the babies started crying and needed to be fed. My sister took a look at me multi-tasking and bust out laughing. She decided she had to document it. Now if two sisters have decided it's hilarious enough to capture (and this second one is even the more shy and modest one!), it really must be funny. Now I look totally disgusting - especially after only getting 4 hours of sleep, but I guess if you've read my blog enough you've already learned I have no shame anymore. So I figured, aw, what the heck....



At least you can be thankful I strategically blurred it! My sister commented while looking at the picture on the camera that with the light colored hair and near baldness of these babies, from a distance, it doesn't really look like I'm holding a pair of babies heads, just a big pair of melons - as she put it!
Hope you get a good laugh. At least you can't say we don't aim to entertain here.

I have to admit my first reaction was Shock! But I was glad you blurred yourself out.
My little boy came over to see what I was laughing at and said "Oh". Not sure if he knew what he was looking at or didn't.
Hey, at least you still have your sense of humor with your hectic life right now. Glad to see you are getting a lot of things done! You are hilarious Jen!!
And by the way I don't think you look horrible at all.

You are one efficient momma, that's for sure! Plus, my theory is in difficult times, you have to have a sense of humor. And if you can laugh at yourself while trying to exercise, color your hair, then feed two babies practically all at once, and do it on four hours of sleep - You are doing just fine!!!!! Can't wait to see the little guys!

lol! I have to admit, I always wanted to see what I looked like when I tried nursing two at a time. YOu look like a pro, hows the pillow thing? looks like you have made it work.

for several reasons.
1) to get the hang of multi-tasking already
2)for being bold enough to post this
3)nursing TWO kids at ONE Time! yeah! go mama!

4)the blur-out technical touch, so high tech and perfect
5)the hair - so cute
6)okay you have the thinnest legs of any mother i have ever seen, especially so soon after babie you look great!

I've always wondered how dual nursing worked...now I know. I was laughing at the picture, and Addie looked over and said, "Look! 10 babies!" Granted, we're working on counting with her, and so far if something is more than 2, it's 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. But even a 2 year old can tell that you've got your hands full (literally!) of babies. We miss you and hope you can make it out to playgroup before you have to leave.

I am always impressed when I see people do this. I never mastered the art of breastfeeding my twins at the same time. You rock!
All I have to say is enjoy them while they are immobile because at 14 months, it is crazy! However, you do loose weight because they provide a constant cardio work out. =)

My greatest multi-task of motherhood was pumping while driving, eating lunch and talking on my cell phone. You win!!! But obviously the competition was over when you had twins. Nice work! And looks like you've gotten the hang of feeding two at a time...I've heard it is no simple task.

ChyAyn told me about your twins and blog!! It's so wonderful to read your witty blog even though you are barely sleeping, nursing two babies at once, running around with a toddler...You are AWESOME!! I wish you a good night's sleep very very soon. I wish you were still in NY so I could come and hold those babies.
