Down and out

Well it didn't take long to have a whole family full of swine flu, but at least we've got medication and seem to be surviving. This has pretty much been the view here over the past few days:

Well, for everyone but me, it seems. I've actually had less napping this week than I do under normal circumstances! Everyone is just so miserable it seems that every time I lie down someone starts crying.

When Ryan first stayed home I thought - how nice to have someone else around to help share the workload since both of us are so miserable...until I remembered that's not what men do when they're sick. :) Here's to a speedy recovery for the 4 grumpy boys and me. On the bright side at least the puke has been fairly minimal and Ryan has discovered a real affinity for Hannah Montana.

By the way, we're changing our internet, so not only will we be out of sight, we'll be out of cyberspace for a few days too.

I didnt think you would post for a long time! Sounds like swine flu met its match. Even though I feel bad for sick kids, I cant help but notice that they sleep more and have less energy which makes hanging out them managable. But when mommy is sick too she cant really take advantage of all the quiet downtime.

I am so glad you got the proper medication quickly to help in the recovery. Best wishes to you all. Is little Phoenix sick, as well? He is so solicitous, maybe he can help you all out -- if he is still well. Sorry, I won't be able to come to the rescue, though I would love to.

The best thing I think I could give you would be Brigham City peaches and green grapes in pure home-squeezed orange juice. We had some for Sunday dinner last. But perhaps that does not sound good to any of you.

xoxo Grammy

Thank you for sharing even in misery. I was always curious what this Swine Flu is all about and your the first real case I get to witness. Looks like you're handling it well, and I'll pray for your family's speedy recovery. Just think how many things you're overcoming. WOW! You'll be able to handle anything life throws at you!

On the positive side: at least when everyone else starts getting it this winter (like they're predicting) your whole family will already be immune. you're just getting it over with early. :-)

so you got spared?? and is the swine flu all you thought it would be?? or just an over-hyped version of the regular flu fun?? Not to say anyone wants the flu in any form...just curious from a dr.s perspective=))
