Hey, didn't we have another kid around here somewhere?

Oh, right. It's all fun and games until the one on top starts bouncing around like crazy again, right?

The babies seem to look more alike the older they've gotten. Pretty soon it will be easier to tell them apart I guess because Ashton is getting a helmet to help round out his head shape. It's not terrible, but since he's a twin and there's a comparison, I don't want him to grow up being the fat-head. But nice that we're getting it just in time to go home for Christmas to see everyone that hasn't seen them forever! Now he's really going to look like the "special" twin, since he's the immobile one and you just can't help but look like you've got problems when you're wearing a helmet. But yeah, I guess that's why we have two babies - so people can see how cute he would be without that big contraption on his head. :)

And sweet little Cash is not as agreeable as he once was and has definitely hit the defiant stage. But he's still fun. And moments like this make me so happy. It makes me realize it's been so long since I was so genuinely thrilled and surprised like this. I guess that's why it's fun to re-live stuff through your kids. And this video was like the 15th time Ryan had done this.

One last thing I'll mention. This is something I'm going to miss:

Glancing back in the car to see 4 constantly bouncing feet. Even cuter because the babies almost never wear shoes. I asked Ryan why that was and he said it was because we have three kids. True. Too much effort. In fact I even put shoes on myself today (rather than flip flops) and realized even that was too much effort. I've decided that we never achieve perfection here. Everyday something's gotta give. It's either babies still in pajamas, mom un-showered, and the most common - bare-footed babies. Good thing we live in Miami. But really, we have lace up shoes that fit them at this age, and I really need to find some that are faster to put on. And I will, now that it is actually getting cooler! But anyway, people often comment that all they can see from across the park or wherever is a stroller full of kicking feet. I love it.

Hey, my twins do the double decker exersaucer move too! Only I put balls in the bottom for a little added fun. ;)

As for shoes, my boys never wear them and it's cold here. At least they have socks on (which get changed maybe once a week...bad mommy) but I'm loving the Robeez shoes. Try those, easy to put on and not very easy for baby to take off.

Cash has a great laugh!

I love the picture of the kids on the exersaucer. Priceless!

My philosophy is you don't need shoes until you can walk. Especially in Miami.

"The fat head". . . that's funny.

Those pics of your little guys are darling. And, Cash is truly adorable (those pics you got of him in the previous post are priceless...I can't believe the range of his facial expressions). Really, shoes...we didn't worry about that until they were walking. Sounds like you're definitely living the life of a twin mama...there really never is a perfect day with twins, but somehow I can't imagine my life without one of them. By the way, thanks for your insights you left on my blog. I think you're right that so much of it boils down to a loss of etiquette.

I can hardly wait to see them during the holidays, helmet or not. I hope this post means you still have the triple stroller and are finding a way to get it in and out the doors and elevators.

Love to all, Grammy

I love the part about the toes! You would hate hate Wisconsin right now! Shoes are must and so are gloves, hat and coat. I highly recommend velcro. Yes there are cool velcro shoes out there. I gave up tying last year. But really who needs shoes when your feet never touch the ground. Its probably better for their feet anyway.

So CUTE!

Is that a little kitchen set in the background for Cash?

Shoes not worth it! :)

I just waited for 10 minutes in the car for the boys. We were going to go deliver some secret gifts. But they were inside fighting over a piece of gum!!!! Now they will be enjoying their rooms the rest of the night and I may just go to bed 2 hours early! Oh motherhood!!!

Yeah, nice apartment! I love the twins in the exersaucer. And the daddy-scaring-kid-on-the-bed never gets old, I see. Katie can do that for hours or until she falls off the bed.

I agree, no shoes until they can walk. And I also recommend Robeez. Or the Target brand. Last time I was there, they had a lot of cute boy ones.

I am sure the babies are exhausting, but those 'twin' pictures are so completely adorable. I love the feet.

Cash is so cute, and I love the chubby, bouncing baby feet. I have admit that I am lazy with shoes as well, and it only gets worse. I am still telling the boys to just put flip-flops on sometimes, even though it is in the 40's and 50's. Oh well.

When are you coming to Utah, we all should try to get together for lunch or dinner. Or I wouldn't mind having people to my house and the kids could just play while the adults chatted. Anyway, let me know if you aren't too busy with family.

Yeah, my boys have one pair of shoes that velcros... and they wear that pair maybe once every two weeks. And you're the one that told me that keeping them out of shoes is better for their development. And we only wear socks if we go outside because they just pull them off and we lose them.
Gotta love double decker exersaucer! Yeah I've found them like that and you can tell the one underneath is not having the best time. Now that we have two it's nice because they get each other excited and jump around like crazy...

Hey, Jen, I feel like I need to let you know why most of my pictures on my "picture tag" were some of my better ones...I interpreted the instructions for the tag rather loosely. About half of the pics, I did what the instructions said exactly. And, then the other half, I just picked the fourth picture (or whatever) of the ones that I would want to post in that file. If you have any interest in doing the tag, feel free to do it how you want. Now I feel much better after confessing:)
