Seriously...

Ok, so I guess the only thing worse than finding out you're moving into a two-bedroom apartment in Miami is finding out that you're not moving in because the landlord changed his mind about renting out the apartment. So after dragging the whole family plus my mom down to Miami to spend an arduous week house hunting, we are now actually empty handed. Seriously. Can this day get any worse?

And really, I'm sorry for all these negative posts! There really are good things that happen around here (just can't think of any right now). And I was thinking that I should clarify that I don't think my life is necessarily worse than any of the rest of you. I just depict mine more. :) And it's not worse than anyone with three kids in general. At least we can hole ourselves up in the house and not have to go anywhere. I can only imagine having twins and have to run older kids to school and other activities. Yuck.

Imagine this worse scenario...the landlord doesn't tell you there have been cats in the place and you get there and almost die from anaphalactic shock as an allergic reaction. Then they won't legal release you from the illegitimate lease agreement. So, you pay $4000 to get out of it all!Yep, happened when we also moved to FL....maybe its a pattern.
Im so sorry though...hopefully you have a second choice available! Or you can move down here with those cute boys!!

Oh my gosh, Jen - what a bummer. Can the Landlord do that? Had you signed a lease or anything? Who knows, maybe you'll find something better, or cheaper. Oh, though the doctor said Trey had rotavirus, it wasn't. Must have been a stomach bug or something. Is Cash doing any better with the Fifths disease? Hope so. We gotta come visit you guys.

What?! You have got to be kidding me! Why? What reason did the landlord have? I would be pretty mad if I were you guys. So are you going to just look online? Sorry, I feel so bad...after all your effort. Hopefully you will have a better day tomorrow. I'm thinking about you.

That's insane! But hopefully a blessing in disguise. Now maybe you can get the 3-bedroom somehow.

So sorry Jen. How sad. I remember the computer being my friend and source to the outside world when Garrett was a baby and pregnant with Preston. We were so poor we could only afford dial up it was painfully slow but it was my connection. It's so nice to be able to blog and share your feelings and know you are being heard. I wish that I had had this convienence a few years earlier. We like to hear the bad days as well as the good. That way we know we are not alone.
Love you.

Jen I am so frustrated for you. I can't believe they can do that. What are your plans now? I wish so much that I could be there to help somehow. Thanks for the updates, happy or sad, we are here for you.

Hey, twin mama. That is absolutely crazy. I know when we were looking years ago for an apartment in New Jersey for our family of four, it was so hard to find a landlord ready to take kids. After praying my guts out for months, something finally worked out. I know something will fall into place for you too. So sorry about all the stress in the meantime. And by the way, no one should ever have to get through a night on her own with twin babies and a toddler. Oh my! In case I never told you, I was a zombie those first several months. Waking up to nurse two babies is absolutely exhausting. My goal was to SURVIVE moment to moment and try to use as little profanity as possible when I got frustrated, which was often. (I have a postpartum profantity problem, which fortunately does fade as my babies sleep better.) So wishing you many hours of uninterrupted sleep and many tantrum-free days. My youngest was five at the time I had twins, so I really can't imagine how hard it must be to have a toddler in the house too.

okay, this might be weird because I don't know you (stumbled onto your blog through a friend who linked to your page), but my husband and i recently moved from miami and have lots of friends still there (including some med students) who could give you great house hunting tips and might have some easy leads. if you are still in the lurch and could use any help or connections to the local ward, just leave a comment on my blog and i'll hook you up. i promise i'm not crazy. good luck in miami! www.thebimpire.blogspot.com
