Today was a pretty good day. I managed to get some sleep, managed to go get pedicures/manicures with my mom for her birthday, and just as I was starting to feel good about my progress, I managed to get asked twice at said nail salon when my baby was due.

Oh man, that sucks. Maybe you can get another baby shower from the people that still think you're pregnant. :)

The same thing happened to me after Cait. It was about two weeks after she was born. It made me feel so bad. I just said, in three weeks, Oh you look so great and tiny. Yeh right you smuck. After that, I didn't go public for a goood loooong time! Good Luck!

I feel like a total loser...I swear I checked your blog everyday until...well I guess Monday. My sister came into town on Thursday so I guess I was occupied by that. Anyway...here is a much delayed congratulations. Hopefully we can make it up to see you, but we'll wait until you are at least a little recovered. Spring break is in 2 weeks???

Oh I'm so sorry, but hey, you just had twins, so give yourself a break! A few weeks after I had Madison I had a random gas station clerk say to me, "What are you going to name your baby?" I said, "Her name is Madison, and she is IN THE CAR!" I was so upset, but looking back I do know I still looked pregnant!
So glad you got a little rest and a little break. Pedicures with your mom are the best!

You are not alone! On the way home from the hospital after Reese we stopped to pick up take out (because hospital food stinks and I was starving!)and while I was waiting a pregnant woman next to me asked when I was due. Wouldn't it be great if we could just pop back to our pre baby size once they were born. A girl can dream:)

Jen I took larger pre-pregnany clothes to the hospital to wear home after Garrett was born. I was crushed when I had to put on the same crappy maternity clothes to wear home from the hospital that I had worn there. You Jen are one Hot Mamma. I am amazed at how much the body can stretch and grow and shrink back (it takes a while but it does). I rember even my shoulders being wider. It will all shrink back Elastagirl.

That's why I am staying out of public! I still look like I am at least 6 months pregnant. You look great in the pictures of the delivery.

EXACT same thing happened to me! my mom and I went a couple days after the baby was born to get mani/pedi and the lady kept asking me 'when due' over and over and pointing to my tummy- she didn't understand me when I said the baby is at home sleeping- no baby in tummy. silly me, I kept saying it louder and louder so eventually my GUT had the attention of the whole room.

Sorry about that. I am still trying to fit back into my pre-pregnancy pants and it has been a month. Sis. Bench wanted me to pass on this tid bit. Her daughter has twins and according to her, after about 6 months life is great. That was when they started to entertain each other.
