Cherubs

Well, where else can your kids run around as half-naked little cherubs on Halloween but Miami? They have the perfect curls, the perfect chub, (they didn't act like the perfect angels, but whatever), 90 degrees, and there you have it. (And I sort of learned my lesson after everyone was sweating to death last year in their costumes.)

And of course our little cowboy.

Here with his preschool teacher.

Even though he chose his own costume, he is, as ever, a most unwilling subject as you can see and spent most of the day riding around like this in revolt.

Luckily he cheered up a bit Halloween night.

Checking out their costumes.

We went to the ward trunk or treat party where the twins were screaming rotten for the first hour.

They perked up a bit when we went outside to trick-or-treat, but were pretty skeptical of the whole candy business. They only lasted a couple of cars on that,

until they found the car with the glowing pumpkins and then stayed there the rest of the night.

Not a great video but I had a hard time getting a good still shot, and those glowing pumpkins saved Halloween from being an utter screaming and miserable mess.

Keeping their angelic chub up with a mouth full of candy.

I'll be honest, Halloween is not my favorite holiday. I find it stressful and seem to notice a pattern emerging from this of stress-induced marital arguments trying to get everyone ready and out the door and remembering all our stuff resulting us being being in a bad mood most of the evening. I'm just glad it's over and now we can get on with the real holidays. Like my birthday. :) Oh yeah, and Thanksgiving and Christmas too.

Thankfully at least the pictures will make my memories brighter, huh?

Absolutely darling! Do you think they could be the herald angels if we do the Christmas story this year? They were truly cherubic.

I sure liked the cowboy outfit on Cash. He looked so great. I hope he had a happy Halloween, and will just love it next year.

Aunt Kathryn stood all afternoon in freezing weather for a trunk or treat with Weston at their Cookie Cutters in Lehi in frigid weather, seeing hundreds of children! She had hardly warmed up by the end of the Ballet West performance that evening, even wearing her Alaskan boots. Such are the varieties of our climates.

I LOVE IT!!!! They look so great!!!! Oh Cash, what a crack up! Love the jeans, much better than the pants that went with it! So glad to get the cute voicemail from him where he sounded all excited about Halloween. Probably because that was the day after and he had warmed up to the whole idea! Those pictures are too funny of him! Oh he is so cute!!!!

The twins just look so darling! You are right, I've never seen costumes like that, but I guess I've spent every Halloween in Utah! Oh they are too cute and the pictures are so great!!!!! Seriously this is so fun!

No one will ever believe those little cherubs give you a run for your money dressed like that. I am sure they will hate those pictures when they are teenagers :) I loved them. What a good idea! Cash was a cute cowboy! He looked about as happy for a costume as Clara was. She cried for 2 hours before she would wear her outfit outside the hotel room...it was only the idea of candy that got her to wear it out the door!

So cute. Love Cash's face

What perfect costumes! Did Cash choose to be Woody? Why so disgruntled. The look on his face is priceless! "Oh the humanity" Is what I imagine him thinking. Hilarious!

H was Batman even though he has no idea who batman is. All he knows is that he is a hero and helps people.

Perfect! Absolutely perfect! (The costumes at least, if not the children's behavior.) Way to make memories out of the time in Florida! Thanks for recording and sharing it.

I LOVE your costumes for the twins. So adorable. Cash is hilarious-I love the picture of him in the car with the kerchif around his face. Halloween is getting to be on the bottom of my list too. Although taking my kids around the neighborhood the other night brought back some good childhood memories-now I like it just a little bit more.

LOVE the cherub costumes! How perfect are they, even if they didn't act angelic. :) Cash rocks as Woody, also.
