Celebration Trip Conclusion

After our time in Switzerland and Austria, it was back to Munich to stay with one of Ryan's friends from college (I'm not sure we even got a picture with them!), and then we met up with friends from Miami in front of the Glockenspiel in Munich.

We then headed over to the Residenz (palace). This grotto all made of sea shells was amazing.

I have to say these relics were the most fascinating thing to me there.  Super crazy, slightly weird, and really amazing if they really were what they claimed to be.  This was said to be the skull of John the Baptist.

And this was said to contain the body of a child slain during the order of Herod to slay all the children under age 2 after Christ was born.

This one is said to have pieces of the actual cross inside-

And talk about a cool family history room full of pictures of all their ancestors with an awesome family tree!

In this case though I thought the whole painting on the buildings looked cheap like you should have just built a real facade on a palace. Especially for all the impressive treasures that were held inside....

Then we went to this giant park full of interesting things... like Japanfest?  That caught us off guard just walking into a park full of this in the middle of Germany....

The German form of "surfing" was also entertaining to watch as they all lined up along this river to take turns where the current was strong enough after being forced through this small opening under a bridge.

Then people downstream further would just jump in and let themselves be carried off by the current as far as they could.

But man was that place packed on a Sunday afternoon!

View of Munich from up in one of the towers -

A busy evening at the theater -

And the famous Hofbrauhaus - like the original beer hall.

Full of lively and entertaining people.

And some amusing rituals by the likely drunk crowd in the upstairs banquet hall.

Seriously though, how does this girl do this so long?

The next morning it was up and at 'em and on the way to Prague.

A lovely rooftop dinner at sunset overlooking Prague -

An evening stroll around the city.

But boy, if that is not the most beautiful city at night, I'm not sure what is.

And watching the moon rise over Prague on our last night of vacation...priceless.

Your great-aunt enjoyed your photos and videos of your trip and also your remarks about life in Provo compared to Miami. As always your tales are delightful.

Much to think about.

Truly wonderful trip photographs! I am glad that you all spent great time over there. All these places in photos are worth visiting. I want to visit these places too. We have shortlisted similar event space in Italy for our big day.
