Sleeping pleas
So I've been attempting some sleep training again the past couple of weeks. I think I'm finally realizing after the last two years, full of a colicky baby and twins, that the "Please make my child stop crying," and the "Please just let me get some sleep" prayers are actually funneled somewhere else. Were my testimony based on the answers to these prayers, I would be in big trouble.

Ok, so I heard some advice to trick the twins into sleeping somewhere other than on you. There are these bean bags that you can microwave to heat up, then set them right next to the baby. Supposedly it tricks them into thinking they're feeling you.
Do you want me to get some and send them your way? I've never done it, but I know the desparation you're feeling-to a degree. Just let me know and send me your address!
Funny. I have one of those bean bags. I guess I could try it. Only it smells weird - like microwaved corn kernels or whatever is in them. They won't notice that smell isn't me? I should try it and find out!
I just read the first week doctors visit. That's crap. I am so sorry. I could feel your pain honey child. I always dreaded the visits with my Two close ones. Just two mind you. I can only imagine.
Your bean bag is under your bed at home in Bountiful - at least I think I saw it there. Do you want me to send it with Julie? I also have one that you can have.

Recently I found out about Osteopathic treatments. The Doctor I go to said she has a no tolerance policy with colicky babies, she feels if they are crying there is something wrong. I have done them with my son and they are working really well. She is a mainstream Doctor as well as Natropathic. She spaces out her babies with the vaccinations and treats all her babies with Osteopath. Now we are living in Ohio, but maybe you could look into something there in Florida. I just read your post about your first Doctor's appt and thought I would put in my two cents.
Just because with the things we are working on with my son I would do it differently when it came to the whole vaccinations thing. I don't feel I was educated enough.
Can't you just give them some medicine;))
Do you know what I find VERY refreshing...that you are so willing to admit without reservation that sometimes poop hits the fan. I know everyone has problems and mishaps...but lots of people feel the need to paint a perfect picture and hold in the reality. So props to you for living the reality. I personally find it very therapeutic to let it all out.
At any rate, I think you are amazing for surviving 3 bunchkins and hubby w/ a demanding career!
Just heard in Church about a young family in Manhattan, had two little children then twins - four under four - and they live in downtown Manhattan, where they cannot really go out either! They are related to a neighbor of mine. Children certainly are coming in batches these days. What fun - in a few years.

Hi there, I found your blog months ago lurking from friends blogs...so I don't know you at all:) I love reading your humor over your crazy situation. Someday you'll be able to look back on those crazy times! I can tell you take time to enjoy those adorable babies too by your beautiful pictures of them - the ones of the babies when they were small are amazing! Anyhow I hate to give advice when I don't know you or tried the solution personally, but by chance you haven't heard of this idea.....it might be worth a shot if you've got crying babies... a friend of mine swears by gripe water. It's in the infant isle of a lot of stores...near Mylicon. SOrry if you've heard that or it wouldn't help you...hang in there! Seems to me like you are doing a great job:)
