Here is my one thought for your birthday. Do you remember when we were first married and living in that funky basement in New York? I was gone on a trip for work and you called to tell me the carbon monoxide detector went off in the middle of the night. We would have never thought to have a carbon monoxide detector at the time, and while our landlord was totally weird, at least he had.
Sometimes, like just the other day, that comes to mind. And I usually stop what I'm doing to say a silent prayer of thanks.
Glad you're around for another birthday.
Well, actually you're not. You're in Haiti. But you know what I mean.

Happy, Happy Birthday, Ryan! You are the greatest! We love you.
xoxoGrammy
Cute. Wow, I didn't know Ryan went to Haiti. What an experience he'll have!
This is Michelle- Maralee Boston's sister. I look at your blog from time to time, your twins are so cute! You cut my hair once and did a great job. Hey- just a thought. We had a daughter who was crawling out of the crib really young and it was ruining our life. We found a crib tent and although pricey- around $70, it paid for itself in two days of good sleep and naps... you might look into it. Your little guy still seems young and you might benefit from it for awhile and it's safe and everything... they have them at Babies R Us. I didn't know they existed but it saved us! Good luck and at least the weather is warm :)
when did Ry go to haiti?? i can't believe they let him out of the residency cage. that's great!not so good for you...but im sure his expertise are needed down there.
Jen,
My computer crashed in December and I lost all my bookmarks. I just got back to your blog again and had a great laugh at your expense! Thanks for always being so honest about the challenges of motherhood and reminding me that I am not the only one who has bad days.
I think maybe I'll also have a "Happiness Project." Actually, I have felt pretty happy lately, since I finally submitted to my life and that we are not leaving NY while my kids are at home, and they will never really get to know their father, and I'll never have any time to myself, etc ....
Oh wait - that's not it. I feel happy because we hired a nanny to come for 4 hrs twice a week!
Hang in there - this too shall pass!
