A labor of love

Let me summarize my week for you:

Constantly under foot:

And finally:

That dang gallon took well over two hours of work! And we're only down to 3 full brown bags now instead of 5.

I'm telling you, if you don't love freshly squeezed orange juice I'm not sure you could take the effort. But I had no idea how satisfying it could be - I swear I've maybe even eaten less chocolate because there seems to be some craving it satisfies because it's sweet and cold and so refreshing.

I will say it was pretty sweet when I was juicing today and Ashton was at my feet begging for a half an orange to have. So I let him have one. Then he kept begging for another. I kept telling him he only needed one but he persisted and persisted. After a few minutes I finally gave him another one, grumbling about no wonder he's so fat. He walked out to the living room and went right over and handed the second one to his twin brother. Awwwww.

Oh, how cute of Ashton! They are both darlings. I saw some of that concern for one another once in the living room the day before you left. And what a delightful gift and treat of all the lovely oranges and juicer, to boot!

Miss you all.

lol, when you said you were grumbling about no wonder he's so fat. i love that your boys are chubby. it's adorable.

there are definitely benefits to living in orange country--my dad grew a tree in our backyard in fresno and it was so delish.

Wow...fresh OJ sounds so good right now! Okay, there is weird tweek you can do to post larger pictures with blogger, but the new blogger 'compose' method is almost as good...log into your blog and go to settings. Under the basic tab, go all the way to the bottom and select the 'updated editor' under post editor...this updated editor makes it way easier to upload and add photos and you can select an 'extra large' size. If you still want the tweek to make them even bigger you have to edit the HTML (email me). I want to do a blog book too...I have downloaded the 'blurb' software. It doesn't really matter what size the pictures are on your blog, they get pulled into a template that displays very small. It will definitely take some adjusting to make the pictures bigger because it seems these books are mostly meant for text and leave very small spots for pictures..but you can choose a different layout and modify it so the pictures are bigger..but man, that seems like it would take forever so I am hoping an easier solution will come along. And, I don't scrapbook either so I definitley want to get my blog in a book someday soon!

If you can get your hands on good peaches, don't forget sliced peaches and green grapes in fresh orange juice -- a wonderful treat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack.

I definitely love winter because the oranges are sooo good. We just bought a juicer last year...It is amazing that it took six oranges for just 8 ounces of juice! No wonder it is so expensive in the stores.

Sorry but I don't think anyone could eat enough oranges to get fat! Glad you gave him one. . . especially since he was so thoughtful about it!
