Miss you guys!chyaynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10343658309573954133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-5956109999960087592008-11-15T09:34:00.000-06:002008-11-15T09:34:00.000-06:00Oh my goodness, I was laughing so hard with the pa...Oh my goodness, I was laughing so hard with the part about your hair. I have that same experience here. I usually wear my hair up in a ponytail because it's so hot here, and well, because I'm lazy. School starts awfully early, and I'd rather sleep so I can be nice to students than get up to do my hair. So on the rare occasions that I do my hair, the comments are ridiculous! Just like you described. I love it.

And the part about the arms "itching" to be thrown up in the air? Brilliant. Wish I could get that kind of writing out of my students!Aimeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04059982537530068321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-58264555741827825632008-11-15T00:17:00.000-06:002008-11-15T00:17:00.000-06:00Ok, I am laughing for so many reasons right now. I...Ok, I am laughing for so many reasons right now. I love the "hands up in the air, what the heck are you doing?" look. Love that look. It seems like that's how it is driving in big cities. I swear, people in Houston would rather see you run your car right into the big orange barricades than let you merge in a construction zone.
And don't even get me started on Wal-mart. I am always so mad by the time I get out of that store, swearing in my wrath to never return. And that's in Cedar City, Utah. The armpit of America. Well said.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-83049398197348801102008-11-14T22:19:00.000-06:002008-11-14T22:19:00.000-06:00Well Miami sounds peachy. Now that I drive a grandma car I get tailgated alot and lots of looks of annoyance and disgust. I think people assume Im a grandma and they precieve I am going slow or driving poorly cause of the car. Interesting but annoying stuff. You can see how easy it would be to fall right into the negativity and throw your hands up right back. I have to admit I give it right back to people sometimes. I cant help it! Their being ridiculous! I feel your pain.Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05802476699490060564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-59265679500171689962008-11-14T20:08:00.000-06:002008-11-14T20:08:00.000-06:00We were planning on comming to visit untill we rea...We were planning on comming to visit untill we read your post. She used to do that with jars of macadamia nuts at her grocery store. She would eat 3 every time she went there until the jar was gone, then open a new one. I know Oprah has some property in Miami...maybe she is frequenting your Walmart...Kimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06910882576387226948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-61324757032464867812008-11-14T18:08:00.000-06:002008-11-14T18:08:00.000-06:00Walmart Bingo?JulieWalmart Bingo?

JulieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-45784290074820190742008-11-14T16:18:00.000-06:002008-11-14T16:18:00.000-06:00About a year and a half ago our Mortgage got sold ...About a year and a half ago our Mortgage got sold to a company based out of Florida and I tell you what they have been a nightmare to work with. So it might not just be Miami, selling our condo and paying off the mortgage was so nice to know that we don't have to deal with them again.todd & nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04275329447533143459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-47431533811930541152008-11-14T15:10:00.000-06:002008-11-14T15:10:00.000-06:00I love it! Maybe you should come out and play walmart bingo with us for family home evening sometime. Laurie and Casey both have much nicer skin than me and they are older, I attribute it to the climate they live, lived in. While walking with my Ukranian friend today we were discussing cultural differences. Amazing how we are all humans and sooooo different.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08575674904951762915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-54572293069796155272008-11-14T13:47:00.000-06:002008-11-14T13:47:00.000-06:00I particularly enjoyed the troll picture. You didn't clarify about the pink hair though. :) I'll never forget the pictures I got from you during the mish and how your hair was ALWAYS up because of the humidity down there. Just think of it this way... living there is probably doing wonders for your skin. I read somewhere that people who live in humid climates have less wrinkles because their skin is more hydrated. So, when I start looking like I'm a raisin at 40, you'll look fantastic! So that may be the only bright spot of living there, but seriously, I've put lotion on my hands probably 6 times today and it's only noon. The Spendloveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17570152169192699105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7024898625983696302.post-32391829260237050062008-11-14T13:09:00.000-06:002008-11-14T13:09:00.000-06:00Different cultures. Finally, I just said simply, "All I want you to do is say,'I'm so sorry you have been inconvenienced, Mrs. Hunsaker.' I don't want to hear a list of excuses. Once she said it I was fine! Good for her. Good for me for saying what I needed.

You are having a wide variety of interesting experiences, let's put it that way, shall we? What a fun post, actually, since I have been to Costco, and seen "all the people one would bump into on such a trip." Amazingly different culture.

xoxocyhAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
